Oleg Sentsov, an award-winning Ukrainian film-maker and writer, was imprisoned by Russia for more than five years for his peaceful opposition to Moscow’s takeover of his native Crimea. Sentsov is the recipient of the PEN/Barbey Freedom to Write Award and the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought.
