    Probably not, but if he can get Zuma’s cronies out while replacing them with people who know what they’re doing and don’t put feathering their own nests first, I would be happily proven wrong.

    I can’t believe this sentence was written: “Ramaphosa has, after all, prospered handsomely in the post-apartheid era of rising inequality and falling hope.” It’s true, but that’s what makes it so remarkable, that someone in the mainstream came out and said it. I know someone recently caused a kerfuffle by calling colonialism a mixed blessing rather than an unmitigated evil, but you’re not supposed to say things like that.
