China Dismisses India’s New Friendship with Myanmar

  • Sounds to me like the Lady protesteth to little. The Chinese don’t have much respect for India as a competitor (which is not to say they don’t have tons of respect for individual Indian businessmen as competitors. It’s the quality of the base population that doesn’t impress them.

    Also, keep in mind, China has always had a “soft border” with her southern neighbors. The osmotic pressure runs north to south not the other direction. What can India do to effect that? What could Burma do?
