Well, yeah… Leftwingers constantly lie and invent enemies to justify their extremism. But it is done for good cause, so people like Pait and Comrade FriendlyGoat are OK with it.

Well, good news, FG has finally said he will limit the violence he condones to rock throwing.

Left out of this otherwise excellent essay is that while the SPLC likes to imply that advocacy groups can inspire violence, they actually are one group that did inspire a guy named Floyd Corkins to head to the headquarters of the Family Research Council (a group that opposes gay marriage) with a gun with the intent of killing as many people there as possible. He got the FRC information from the SPLC website and admitted that it was the SPLC designation that made him do it.

SPLC is just another egregious example of progressive disinformation and hysteria aimed at smearing people they disagree with and hate. SPLC is a hate organization and should be shunned..

  • Beauceron

The SPLC used to be an anti-hate group.

Now they’re just another far-left assembly of nutjobs who attack anyone who holds different views than their own.

I remember when they labelled the Tea Party as a hate group. The AEI itself was dubbed a hate group at one time. Basically, if you’re libertarian or a conservative organization, you will potentially be labelled a hate group by the SPLC. They have also gone after legitimate anti-immigration organizations as hate groups.

May this post get echo! Add the post-Foxman ADL to SPLC’s fixation on ‘white supremacists. One day after Juan Thompson was arrested, The Forward published this:

“ADL: One Arrest Won’t Stop ‘Unprecedented’ Wave Of Anti-Semitism By Ben Sales March 4, 2017

“…“We’re in unprecedented times,” said Oren Segal, director of the ADL’s Center on Extremism. “We’ve never seen, ever, the volume of bomb threats that we’ve seen. White supremacists in this country feel more emboldened than they ever have before because of the public discourse and divisive rhetoric.” …”

Yet, The Forward published this before Thompson’s arrest:
“Abe Foxman Says Wave Of Anti-Semitic Hate Is No ‘Crisis’ — And Jews Should Lay Off Trump”
By Nathan Guttman Mar 2, 2017

“…Foxman, who now heads the center for study of anti-Semitism at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in in New York, believes the
Jewish community is making a serious mistake in trying to pin the raise of anti-Semitism on Trump and in expecting the president to come up with the answer to the problem.

Instead, he suggests the community take a step back from political score-settling and focus on the culture in the country that has
created the wave of hate. …

The danger, Foxman believe, is with the Jewish community’s reaction to the rise in anti-Semitic incidents. He argued that the issue “has
been hijacked politically by Democrats who’ve made it a political issue to attack Trump, and by Republicans who have made it a political issue to defend him.”

Foxman believes that the demand that Trump come up with a plan to combat the anti-Semitic attacks is misguided, since it is up to the
Jewish community to suggest such plans.

“The whole issue has become a political football and that doesn’t serve us,” he added. …”

SPLC survives and thrives by creating the product which its leftist audience demands: “objective” ratification that political enemies are in fact enemies of humanity. Founder Morris Dees, whose fortune was made as a pioneer of mass mailing, is a marketing whiz.

Most of those amplifying SPLC reports are likely indifferent to whether or not they are “true.” What is more “true” is that such lists advance the cause, which is the only truth that matters.

Cry wolf and get ignored – fine with me.

  • Jacksonian_Libertarian

Some group that names themselves “anti-hate”, was never going to be filled with mankind’s brightest lights! It’s worse than the “War on Terror”. It assumes you can fight or prevent an emotion. I think there is little wisdom in this.

  • Charles Martel

Morris Dees is a con man and huckster who has made himself very rich off of sensationalizing hate crimes. It is journalistic malpractice to rely upon such a self-interested fundraising machine.
