Anthony, Disqus can’t deal with long URLs (part of the same CR/LF problem that messes up cut-and-paste). Tinyurl.com provides an easy solution.

(The matter is not helped by WSJ’s horrible URLs.)

My regrets to Anthony for the conflicting advice, but a naked tinyurl has the downside of my not knowing where its taking me or why I should go there. Much better to use a standard hyperlink, as so:
Peggy Noonan: The growing distance between Washington and the public it dominates.

        This is done by entering:

[a href=”online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702303973704579353274061324970″]Peggy Noonan[/a]: The growing distance between Washington and the public it dominates.

with the square brackets eplaced by angled ones.
