What percentage of the world’s oil comes through the Straight of Hormuz these days?

The Brent price has usually been at least $10 more than the WTL price. Recently, this differential (which gave American manufacturers a real cost advantage) has all but disappeared, being a little more than $2 this morning.

This is not exactly stupid or evidence for a conspiracy. Fracking is more expensive than regular drilling, so while the supply is expanding its unit cost should go up. Expect plentiful but expensive oil.
