When Jihadis Go Home

  • This – jihadism, cultural/societal devolution to the Dark Ages – is what happens when religion takes over from reason. It can happen in any culture giving its clerisy too much power over reason, logic and critical thinking. Read Bernard Lewis’ “What Went Wrong;” it’s a description of the fundamentalist Islamic clergy destroying a culture that once led in math, science and art. In the West two religions compete to destroy reason and replace it with their theology: the far left enviros and the far right SoCons.

“When life in a Turkish prison is preferable to a free life in the Wild West of Waziristan some people may actually ask if the dirty, disorganized, illiterate fanatics waging “holy war” by stoning adulteresses and fighting polio vaccination have the slightest idea what God really wants for mankind.”

This is all that the backward Islamic Culture has ever spawned, nothing else should be expected, and they have not earned the respect that a civilized person would automatically give to another civilized person.

    This is rich!

All those wannabes should have tatooed on their arms “The past is a foreign country. They do things differently there. – L. P. Hartley” That includes the 9th century, where these tribal denizens, jihadis, and the Muslim Brotherhood either dwell or would like to dwell.

No doubt these returnees found the backwardness of the -stans to their disliking in terms of the comforts afforded them in a Western nation like Germany. Who, with rational thought, would not?

The bigger question is not whether they marked these ‘adventures’ into prehistoric times as terrible, but rather if they were tempered in any degree in their avid Islamic dispositions.

They can still be devout, fervid apostles of the faith, willing to give all, while they abhor the living conditions of the -stans.

    Let’s not kid ourselves.

‘But this trend has been reversing itself for some time now. The number of volunteers is declining, while the number of those making the journey back home is growing.’

Mark my words. Those returning need special ‘inspection’ and surveillance.
