Mayor of London: EU is Like a Lobster

London Mayor Boris Johnson, an always colorful character in British politics, talked to the Telegraph about his days as the paper’s reporter on the EU in Brussels. He reminisces about the freedom he had in the age before smartphones, and the time he (might have) changed the course of a Danish referendum.

And what is the “single biggest disadvantage of the EU”? Johnson replies that it is the “loss of democratic accountability” and the “erosion” of popular sovereignty.

Watch the whole thing, but especially the end, where Johnson is asked what sort of animal the EU would be:

Do watch this extremely impressive and apparently extemporaneous presentation.

Yep. EU is like a lobster because that’s what the EU politician ordered while on expense account on lunch.
