    I think this is the least important of China’s problems. Every industrializing nation goes through these phases. The air in Britain or the water of the Thames was not particularly clear in the 1870s. As the nation gets richer it will have the wealth to clean up the atmosphere. The bigger question for China is whether she will ever get rich before getting old ?
