Russell Crandall is an associate professor of international politics at Davidson College and author of The United States and Latin America after the Cold War (Cambridge, 2008). He recently left the National Security Council, where he served as Director for Andean Affairs. Caroline McDermott was a 2010 U.S. Fulbright grantee in Bogotá where she researched urban development at the University of the Andes.
