Exactly what will happen if cities go bankrupt and rural America is asked to use its tax dollars to bail them out remains to be seen.
Phrased another way, exactly what will happen if cities who chose to make spending promises far beyond their means to pay demand that rural residents, who always spent within their means, pay for services they never received and never voted for remains to be seen.

If the 2008 meltdown is any indication, the answer is: Take money from the responsible and give it to the irresponsible.

Would that this problem was confined to firefighters and police. What is described here as urban vs. rural with respect to Dallas is more like a fight between old guys retired and retiring from those forces vs. new guys who aren’t going to be treated very well.

FG, something partisans (or the short-sighted) avoid is that reverence (or publicly acclaimed reverence) for police and firefighters subsumes protection of capitalism assets (among other variables) and that may be factor why talked about problem skews toward your others.

Arithmetic wins, arithmetic always win. And if sanctuary cities get denied federal funding for disobeying federal laws, arithmetic is going to win that much faster.

Honestly, I think the practice of un- or partially-funded federal mandates should be ended altogether.

If San Francisco wants to allow illegal-immigrant murderers to have free run of its streets, let the State Department issue warnings for people not to go there, promulgated by the Ad Council. Give people information to make their own decisions, and leave it at that.

Brooklynization indeed, rhymes with Crooklynization. but, perhaps we can get TAI’s definition of Brooklynization?
DJT still has to vanquish Brooklyn’s deBlasio&Schumer, before he tackles the Cuomo dynasty from Queens.

Just can not see how Brooklynization has any context in this BlueCity/RedState post.
