Don’t worry, Obama will protect the Iranian regime from all harm. He knows they really love him.

Iran is reaping the violence it has sown elsewhere in the region.

It is high time that the Kurds all over the ME take their destiny into their own hands and declare their independence. Those who interfere will pay a price.

The statement that “only just over half the citizens are of Persian ethnic origin” is misleading. About two-thirds of the Iranian population belong to ethnic groups whose native language is thought to be descended from Ancient Persian. Of the remainder, the biggest group is the Azeris, but they are highly represented in the regime (and played a considerable role in the revolutions of 1908 and 1979). The current Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, is half-Azeri. Apart from the Kurds. no other minority is substantial enough to provide a challenge to the regime.
