NY State Swells Its Pensions

Wonderful news for New York State’s public sector employees:

Another 259 government employees qualified for pensions over $100,000 last year, according to the latest look by The Empire Center’s SeeThroughNY website, which found the number of those with six figure pensions has doubled over five years, with 2,700 in that club as of last year.

The news of the number of six-figure pensions paid to retired New York State workers has no doubt also brought joy to millions of hard working, tax-paying New Yorkers. Millennials in particular must be happy to know that the high taxes, low wages and restricted job opportunities so many young people find across the Empire State haven’t spoiled the comfortable retirements of state bureaucrats.
