South Korea Kicks Sand In China's Face

South Korea has joined Japan in kicking sand in China’s face:

“Even since China has created this airspace defence zone, we have continued our surveillance activities as before in the East China Sea, including in the zone,” said Japan’s top government spokesman, Yoshihide Suga.

“We are not going to change this [activity] out of consideration to China,” he added.

For their part, South Korea’s military said one of their planes entered the zone on Tuesday.

South Korea’s Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se said on Wednesday that the air zone issue had made “already tricky regional situations even more difficult to deal with”.

“We’ve witnessed competition and conflicts among players of the region getting fiercer,” he told Yonhap news agency.

Beijing hard liners have inflicted humiliation on their country and united their neighbors once again to oppose Chinese overreach. Are they just stupid, or do they have a step two in mind?

For China’s government, this is a domestic as well as an international headache. Nationalist bloggers are aflame with wrath and impatience with China’s apparent impotence in the face of American, Japanese and Korean defiance. In the wake of this fiasco, the Communist government may well be looking for some bold stroke to regain domestic as well as foreign respect.

The news from Asia’s game of thrones continues to get more interesting. That is not good news for people who like quiet lives.

Asia’s two foremost industrial and military powers show the middle finger to Asia’s foremost cheap labor power. Interesting times indeed.

Its an interesting race that’s being run. Which will collapse first, American Democrat Party/ Democrat Party Media hegemony, or war breaking out in the Middle
East or Asia. Politics abhors a vacuum, and we have a black hole sized one being created by the current Administration.
