WRM on Asia’s Game of Thrones in Australia’s Lowy Blog

Check out the first installment of WRM’s interview with the Interpreter, the blog at Australia’s Lowy Institute for International Policy. It’s a multi-part interview, so there will be more to come over the next few days.

As we’ve noted before on this site, a greater American foreign policy focus on Asia makes Australia a more important partner for the US. That’s not just about geography and military forces. The Australian intellectual and policy world is full of people who’ve made a deep study of Asia their professional focus for many years, and its business community also has deep ties to many of the region’s most important economic figures.

The US and Australian policy communities need to invest more time in getting to know one another and sharing ideas and expertise. The Lowy Institute is a leading Australian think tank, and Via Meadia is honored that its staffers take an interest in our work.

Respectable interview WRM. Point of order though: is the series really about foreign policy.

    This ends in War.
