Ending al-Qaeda

Carl Ciovacco, a Ph.D. student at Virginia Tech, currently works as a counterterrorism expert in Washington, DC. A graduate of West Point and Harvard University, he served as a military officer in Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Howard Gambrill Clark is a counterinsurgency instructor, an associate fellow at the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation, and president of the counter-radicalization nonprofit Seventh Pillar, Inc. He previously served as a senior intelligence analyst for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security counter-radicalization branch. He served in Iraq and Afghanistan as a U.S. Marine, is a graduate of Yale University and is the author of Revolt Against Al-Qa‘ida and How You Can Kill Al Qaeda. James Van de Velde, a former lecturer of political science at Yale University and a former lieutenant commander in United States Naval Intelligence (Reserves), is a counterterrorism and WMD expert in Washington, DC.
