Michael Herzog is a retired Brigadier General in the IDF and an Israel-based Milton Fine International Fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. Alongside a distinguished military career, including as head of the IDF’s strategic planning and Chief of Staff to Israeli Ministers of Defense, he participated in most of Israel’s negotiations with the Palestinians, Syrians, and Jordanians since 1993.
