Seeking Justice for Magnitsky

With Putin continuing to pummel Ukraine, the world needs little reminder of the cruelty of the regime in Moscow. But a few years before the invasion, there was a shocking case that led the U.S. to sanction Russian officials: the abuse and murder of lawyer Sergei Magnitsky in 2009.

On today’s podcast, we’re visited by Magnitsky’s employer Bill Browder, founder and CEO of Hermitage Capital Management, whose search for justice resulted in the Magnitsky Act of 2012.

Browder’s book, Red Notice: A True Story of High Finance, Murder, and One Man’s Fight for Justiceis out this week, and we highly recommend you listen to his story. Go here for the podcast, and here for the book. Don’t miss either one.
