Democracies of the World, Unite

We need a Concert of Democracies to manage the global politics of the 21st century.

Ivo Daalder is senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and a visiting professor at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University in Florence, Italy. James Lindsay is director of the Robert S. Strauss Center for International Security and Law at the University of Texas at Austin. They are the authors of America Unbound: The Bush Revolution in Foreign Policy (2003) as well as Restoring Trust: The Challenge for American Global Leadership After Bush (John Wiley, 2007).
