Good afternoon, listeners! We have an excellent episode for you this week as our host Richard Aldous talks Trump and polarization with David Blankenhorn before learning about the problem with big bills from James S. Henry.

We’re first joined by David Blankenhorn, president of the New York City-based Institute for American Values, who discusses Donald Trump’s recent victories in the presidential campaign, what his rise says about an increasingly polarized society, and what historical context there is for his success.

We then welcome to the program James S. Henry, a senior fellow at Columbia University’s Center for Sustainable Investment, a senior advisor for the Tax Justice Network, and a Global Justice Fellow at Yale, who makes the case for scrapping the $100 bill, citing the role big bills play in such illicit activities as tax dodging and money laundering.

Be sure to subscribe to the podcast on iTunes where you can also leave a review, and follow Richard Aldous @RJAldous, David Blankenhorn @blankenhorn3, and James S. Henry @submergingmkt on Twitter.
