A new NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey is finding that Hillary Clinton’s support is in free-fall. Politico:

The poll also highlights that Clinton is losing support among younger voters, independents and even within her own party. She dropped 15 percentage points since April among 18- to 34-year-olds who said they had a positive view of Clinton to 38 percent. Additionally, her approval rating among independents fell from 46 percent to 35 percent. Clinton’s approval among Democrats also fell by 12 points, from 88 percent in April to 76 percent in the most recent poll.

It’s not exactly clear why Clinton’s brand is taking such a beating, but it is a healthy reminder that today’s voters aren’t happy with prominent politicians in either party. If she can’t find a way to stop the slide, potential rivals for the Democratic nomination in 2016 are going to have an easier time raising money.

    That should be Hill’s campaign slogan for ’16.

    Not clear why her Democrat brand is in trouble? Do you remember Hillary Care? Democrats have revealed themselves as not only incompetent, but malevolent as well.

    Here is one clue for ViaMeadia: when Hillary embraced, complete with a mega-million fundraiser, Bill deBlasio for Mayor of NYC, millions realized the Clintons are not really the heart (or standard-bearers) of a fiscally responsible Democratic Party, but just practitioners of the world’s oldest profession, and less honest about it.
    The Clinton’s DLC is a ghost, the Dems ‘big tent’ is a ghost.
    The job boom of the 1990′s was what kept the Clinton brand strong, but most now know that can not be repeated since Pelosi-Obama-Reid ‘purified’ the Dems of every single fiscal conservative in Congress since 2010 in their quest for ‘affordable health care’, now a catastrophe.

    Now THIS is a reason for some patented Via Meadia optimism! This person has no business being President and a Hillary presidency would be as great a disaster as the Obama presidency has been, particularly in the area Via Meadia rightly callls vital–foreign policy. In fact, the only thing conceivably worse than a Hillary presidency is an Elizabeth Warren presidency. Yes, there are people currently pushing the notion of a Warren presidency, without any trace of irony whatsoever. It ought to alarm intelligent people far more than it seems to that there are people out there in postions of visibility–major city newspaper op-ed writer, e.g.–whose minds have been so softened by the left-liberal conditioning prevalent among Blue Elites that they seriously urge Warren as a worthy candidate for that office. It beggars description.

    Her incompetence as Secretary of State and her lies about Benghazi probably haven’t helped.
