Religion in public schools doesn’t have to be divisive.

Emile Lester, assistant professor of political science at the University of Mary Washington, is currently working on a book focusing on religion and public education entitled The Center Can Hold. Patrick S. Roberts is a postdoctoral fellow in the Program on Constitutional Government at Harvard University (for 2007–08) and an assistant professor at the Center for Public Administration and Policy at Virginia Tech.
