Thank Jesus Trump was elected because under a Clintion administration there was absolutely no chance this problem would have been rectified. I have to hi-five myself since I voted for Trump. How many folks at TAI can hi-five themselves for this?

    • Anthony

Well, congratulations but personal Hi-fives may more a derivative as well as illustrative of a “selfie” embellishing culture. Still congrats for your joy!

It’s still true in America that people elect their leaders. Someone has got to do it. Just wondering how many folks at TAI didn’t vote Trump and instead preferred the high regulation and corruption of the Democrat Party. I don’t even own a selfie stick and barely know how to use my iphone to take a selfie. You go on projecting though.

I didn’t vote for Trump and offer no regrets in that regard. But, as an American and wanting my country to succeed I wish the President elect success – by the way, Hillary received 62,000,000 votes and still counting and many (of those voters) may have described their support differently from your analysis (such is America in 21st century).

Oh, I know they do. I keep reading that lots of ignorant people voted for Hillary because they think Donald J. Trump is a racist, a misogynist, and a homophobe. Californians and Oregonians are calling for secession even. Of course they see themselves differently than I see them. Many of them even own selfie sticks and know how to use their Iphone properly.

People are who they are and emotions can and do (momentarily) overwhelm better judgment – this to will pass. But, Fluffy FooFoo, what’s your point beyond comparative glee (and that as an emotion is equally understandable).

See supra. That means look at my first post and read it until you understand it.

          • Anthony

OK, Fluffy, Got It. We can both wish (and work) for the best for our country and trust our utilized means have intended end.

Well, I can….and while I was cautious about celebrating too early, I like to think that I have made up for it since! (grin)….

Another problem is the expensing of venture capital stock options, a tax code abomination passed about a decade ago. Venture capital dried up very fast in the US after that law passed.

I try to take my family to the circus whenever it comes to town, and one of my favorite acts is watching the highwire and trapeze artists just lying on the nets, taking absolutely no risks. Actually, I enjoy watching their audacious acts. The safety nets are indispensable, but people don’t go to the circus to see the nets. They go to see acts that appear to be high risk. The Democrats’ focus on safety nets while choking entrepreneurship and innovation with regulation is at best foolish. Of course, the Republicans need to figure out a way to promote entrepreneurship and innovation here and not overseas; otherwise, the voters might just show them their walking papers.
