WRM was on NPR today to talk about the geopolitics of the European financial crisis. Check it out here.
“[it’s a] sin not to know for whom the bells tolls. The bell tolls for all of us.”
“… we have worked out a pretty good defense relationship, security relationship with the European countries, and there are an awful lot of values that we share: democracy, markets, rule of law, a whole range of things.”
Who is this the speaker of these lines?
Is it the same person as the one behind Via Meadia’s daily stream of sneers and snarls at wicked and useless old Europe?
More Jekyll/NPR Mead, and less Hyde/VM Mead, please.
NPR round table outlines eurozone complications and troika’s response while inferring known unknowns; but discussion basically centers on bailouts facing Spain, Italy, Greece, et al with touch of Russia and NATO – perhaps NPR time constraints WRM. Still, your insights provide listing audience with needed geo-political information.

Spiro? Is that you?
Anthony@2: “your insights provide listing audience with needed geo-political information.”
Especially as the NPR audience lists heavily portside. 🙂
